The actors in the development of public enterprises are very important, as is the development of UMKM. This research was conducted to know and analyze the role of the actor in the development of umkm the woven fabric of the songket district. The many UMKM of the woven sheets of the songket scattered over the ogan ilir region made it necessary for the government to make more effective development and more prosperous umkm communities of songmen in ogan ilir district. The theory used in this study is that of the role of the actor in policy according to Thompson in wakka, which consists of four classifications of the actor's role: subject, key players, crowd and context setters. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive methods. The process of data accumulating is done with interviews, direct observation and documentation. Research shows that there has been no private involvement in the development of the songket ogan ilir loom and the role of actors involved in the development of the songket loom in ogan ilir district has not run ata maximum based on established programs, causing much of the weaving of the songket to become unsustainable.
