This study examines the representation of the Chinese minority in the Ngenest movie. The purpose of this study seeks to discuss the description of construction, representation systems, and the process of meaningful representation of the Chinese minority in the Ngenest movie. The research method used in this research is interpretive qualitative research. The paradigm used is constructivist. Observation or observation is a data collection method used to collect data. This study uses a theory analysis tool from Stuart Hall and supporting theories about Chinese minority from Schermerhorn and Wagley & Maris. The results of this study indicate that the dominant Chinese representation in the Ngenest movie is obtained through representation representation. This representation process is obtained from the encoding which is the process of producing the meaning of Ngenest movies by looking at the storyline construction or the initial idea of the primary Chinese story and then processing and obtaining meaning through a process that produces meaning from research that results in decoding. Then through mental and language representation in the movie get a variety of representations about the Chinese in the Ngenest movie.
