PENGARUH BEBAN ORGANIK TERHADAP KINERJA SISTEM PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH GREY WATER PASAR INDRALAYA MENGGUNAKAN FREE WATER SURFACE CONSTRUCTED WETLAND
Waste water originating from Indralaya market activities has a high pollutant content far above the applicable guality standards. Market activities use water from rivers, while waste water from market activities is directly discharged into rivers without prior processing. In this study the method used was constructed wetland free water surface and the treatment given was organic load variations to determine the maximum efficiency of cw in the removal of BOD, COD, TSS, Ammonia and pH in the liguid waste from the Indralaya market. The results of the first sample had a reduction efficiency of 95.8529% BOD, 92.2965% COD, 92.2973% TSS, 63.3520% ammonia and 5.2288% pH. For the second sample, the efficiency of reducing BOD levels was 88.3071%, COD was 86.0418%, TSS was 97.5826%, ammonia was 52.7570% and pH was 12.3333%. The results of using the constructed wetland free water surface for the processing of grey water waste from the Indrayala market are good, but further studies need to be carried out because the BOD and COD values obtained are still above the domestic wastewater quality standard.
