Instagram is one of the most popular social media among the teenagers nowadays. The teenagers use Instagram as a means to show their identity virtually. Virtual identity is our identity in the cyberspace. The identity is an individual's attempt to show his or her identity to other people in cyberspace. This study aims to find out how the virtual identity of the students of SMA Negeri 1 Pasemah Air Keruh on Instagram as a social media. The theory used in this study was the Dramaturgical Theory of Erving Goffman. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that virtual identities that are developed within Instagram as one of a social media can be the same and can be different from reality. Three of the four informants had a backstage that was more or less the same as the front stage, namely on Instagram, where they presented what they wanted and according to the facts in their daily lives. One of them has a slight difference which is rarely showing him or herself on Instagram. And most of the informants' Instagram feeds contain photos of themselves.
