This study examines the survival strategy carried out by farm workers in fulfilling the family economy in Gumawang Village , Belitang District , East OKU Regency . The purpose of this study is to determine the survival strategies and forms of survival strategies that occur in agricultural activities carried out by farm laborers in Gumawang Village , using Suharto's theory . Data collection techniques used in this study were observation , in - depth interviews and documentation . The results of this study are : Efforts and strategies carried out by farm workers in Gumawang Village , Belitang District in the form of extending working hours , minimizing expenses and establishing relationships with the community or farm workers from the next village . So that the income earned is sufficient to meet the needs of the family of farm workers .
