PENGARUH BOARD GAME EDUKATIF ECOFUNOPOLY TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP SISWA DALAM PENERAPAN PHBS MEMBUANG SAMPAH PADA TEMPATNYA DI SEKOLAH
Waste is one of the problems faced by urban managers worldwide, including in Indonesia. If left unchecked, this waste problem can lead to environmental and health issues. The problem of waste in Indonesia is caused by various factors, one of which is the habit of littering. One way to address this issue is by instilling the habit of proper waste disposal since childhood through the Healthy and Clean Behavior (PHBS) development program. One strategy that can be employed is through health promotion. The health promotion media used is an educational board game called Ecofunopoly. This study aims to determine the influence of the Ecofunopoly educational board game on students' knowledge and attitudes in implementing PHBS in disposing of waste properly in schools. This study employed a quasi-experimental quantitative research design with a nonrandomized control group pre-post test design. The sample in this study consisted of 36 respondents selected using purposive sampling and divided into two groups (the intervention group was given the board game, while the control group was given a leaflet). The results of this study showed a significant influence of the Ecofunopoly educational board game on students' knowledge (p-value of 0.02) and attitudes (p-value of 0.01) in implementing PHBS in disposing of waste properly in schools, with p-value < 0.05. Health promotion using the Ecofunopoly educational board game is recommended as an interactive health promotion media for elementary school children to improve their knowledge and attitudes in implementing PHBS in disposing of waste properly in schools.
