PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN DENGAN MEDIA HEALTH EDUCATION VIDEO (HEEVI) TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN PERTOLONGAN PERTAMA SINKOP PADA SISWA SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA
Syncope is relatively common in all age ranges including junior high school students, who have a very busy time doing curricular activities at school causing them to experience fatigue. The impact of recurrent syncope on students who have a risk of reduced cerebral perfusion including conditions of shock and blood circulation disorders can cause students to fall behind in class learning. A lack of knowledge about syncope first aid can result in students not mastering syncope management when dealing with various situations when seeing syncope victims. This study aims to determine the effect of health education through HEEVI media on syncope first aid knowledge among junior high school students. This study used the pre-experimental design method with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The sampling technique used stratified random sampling of 117 respondents. Statistical analysis using the Paired T-test, obtained a p-value of 0.000 (p-value˂ɑ) which indicated that the HEEVI media had a significant effect on students' knowledge of syncope first aid. Therefore, the importance of good knowledge as a preventive measure against the impact caused by inaccuracies in providing first aid to victims of syncope. HEEVI media is suitable for learning because it has unique visuals and many colors that can encourage student interest and influence motivation and learning outcomes.
