This research is entitled "The Role of Women in Making Gulo Puan in Bangsal Village, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra". The purpose of this study was to find out the role of women in making gulo ladies in Bangsal Village, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. In this study using the concept of Bruce J. Cohen. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Maintenance of informants in this study using purposive. There were 9 informants in this study, consisting of 1 key informant, 5 main informants and 3 supporting informants. Types and sources of data obtained through primary data and secondary data with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that women's activities in making gulo ladies have three stages, namely from taking buffalo milk, managing buffalo milk to become gulo ladies and selling gulo ladies. Buffalo milk collection is done in two ways, namely taking buffalo milk from one's own buffalo and buying buffalo milk from buffalo breeders. In the process of processing the gulo ladies by continuously stirring, and then packing the gulo ladies. In its manufacture, it also has obstacles, namely obstacles in obtaining raw materials, obstacles in the distribution of time and the results of gulo puan are few. So it generates a little income as well.
