UPAYA INDONESIA DALAM MENINGKATKAN EKSPOR INDUSTRI ALAS KAKI KE PASAR AMERIKA SERIKAT TAHUN 2016-2021
This study alms to explain how Indonesia's efforts to increase exports of the footwear industry at United States of America market, the increase in exports of the footwear industry to the United States of America market contimues to increase every year. This gives a sign that the footeear industry has promising potential, exports of the footwear industry from 2016 to 2019 have contimued to increase and had declined in early 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic. However, post pancemic 2021, export of the footwear industry may soared high due to large number of market demands that have not been fulfilled by producing countries. This study uses the theory of competitive advantage by Michael E. Porter which explain if a country has 4 indicators, namely the superiority of production factors, demand conditions, the exixtence of related industries and company strategy and competition. Then the country or company can have competitiveness in the global market. The four indicators have been fulfilled but there are still many problems that must be resolved by the Indonesian government. Various effort and policies have been implesnted by Indonesia in dealing with this, namely the government launched the KITE IKM fac ity which facilitates the process of importing raw materials for the footwear industry where local suppliers have not yet able to meet demand from the production of the Indonesian footwear industry, improve the quality of the workforce through programs from the Indonesians Footwear Industry Empowerment Center (BPIPI), resolve the problem of high wage increases for each region, and improve facilities to support the smooth export process Keywords: United States of America, Raw Material.
