Representation is a process of exchanging meaning, where this can be done through language or images as symbols that can deliver to a reality in society. In connection with this, representation can raise issues that exist in reality in people's lives, one of which is regarding strict parenting patterns, which is raised in the Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini Film (NKCTHI) 2020. This is interesting to bring up in this research, in order to find out how the pattern of parenting strict parents looks like, and remembering the importance of parenting knowledge. Charles Sander Peirce's semiotic method is used by researchers in conducting this research, through the triangle meaning which includes the stages of the sign, object, and interpretant. The results of this study indicate that parents with the strict parenting pattern depicted in the Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini film have a negative impact on children, including children becoming easily angry, aggressive, disobedient or against parents, children become down easily because feeling unworthy, and afraid to face new things beyond their comfort.
