Background: The birth of premature babies with LBW in Indonesia is still relatively high. In 2012, Indonesia became the 5th largest contributor with 350,000 babies born prematurely from all premature births in the world which reached 15 million premature births. The Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Indonesia is also relatively high when compared to countries in ASEAN, namely 4.6 times higher than Malaysia, 1.3 times higher than the Philippines and 1.8 times higher than Thailand. Thus, it is necessary to have nursing interventions for premature babies with LBW babies to prevent complications and stimulate the growth and development of babies, one of which is by giving music therapy. Purpose: The aim of this scientific work is to be able to provide nursing care to infants with the main problem of nursing, namely growth and development disorders by handling using classical music therapy to increase the weight of low birth weight babies (LBW). Method: The method used in this scientific work is a case study approach using an analysis of ten journals that match the criteria desired by authors from Google Scholar, National Library of Indonesia and other national-international indexed journals. Results: An assessment was carried out on infants in a head to toe, starting from assessment, nursing diagnoses with the main problem of nutritional deficit, nursing interventions and implementation were carried out based on journal reviews, namely giving classical music therapy to increase body weight in low birth weight babies, the evaluation results obtained there was an increase in body weight in cases of low birth weight babies after being given classical music therapy for seven days with a duration of 15-20 minutes. Conclusion: Classical music therapy has an effect on increasing body weight in cases of low birth weight babies.
