DAMPAK KONDISI PANDEMI TERHADAP PENDAPATAN USAHATANI DAN STRATEGI PETANI PADI LAHAN PASANG SURUT DI DESA MERAH MATA KECAMATAN BANYUASIN I
The Impact of Pandemic Conditions on Farming Income and The Strategy Of Tidal Rice Farmers in Merah Mata Village Banyuasin I District An Nisa Amanda1, Desi Aryani 2 Program studi Agribisnis, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya, Jalan PalembangIndralaya Km.32, Indralaya Ogan Ilir, 30662 Abstract Rice is a food crop that produces the main staple food of the Indonesian people so that the need for rice is very high. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has decreased people's purchasing power so that the selling price of agricultural products has decreased, not comparable to the business and operational costs incurred during the farming process. The objectives of this study are 1.) Describe the condition of tidal rice farming in Merah Mata Village, Banyuasin I District since the Covid-19 Pandemic. 2) Analyze the differences in tidal rice farmers' farming income before and during the Covid-19 Pandemic in Merah Mata Village, Banyuasin I District. 3.) Identify survival strategies carried out by tidal rice farmers during the Covid-19 Pandemic in Merah Mata Village, Banyuasin I District. The study was conducted in February-March 2023 in Merah Mata Village, Banyuasin I District, Banyuasin Regency. The data collected is primary and secondary data and then processed using excel and SPSS. The sample was selected using simple random sampling. The results of this study are during the Covid-19 Pandemic, tidal rice farming in Merah Mata Village experienced changes in conditions due to a decrease in the use of inputs and an increase in the purchase price of inputs used in tidal rice farming. Before the Covid-19 Pandemic, farmers' income was Rp. 11,848,645. During the Pandemic, farmers' income decreased by 20.07 percent so that farmers earned income of Rp. 9,471,063 during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The survival strategy of Red Eye Village farmers is on medium criteria with a total score of 20.29. Where the passive strategy obtained the highest score of 7.56 with medium criteria. Then followed by active strategies and network strategies with the acquisition of medium and low indicators. Keywords: agriculture, covid-19 pandemic, decreased income, farmer strategy.
