PERTUMBUHAN DAN KELANGSUNGAN HIDUP IKAN NILA STRAIN BERBEDA PADA PERAIRAN RAWA LEBAK
Swamp waters have the characteristics of an acidic pH and low dissolved oxygen content, so the selection of fish species will minimize the failure in fish culture. This study aimed to determine tilapia fish’s growth rate, feed efficiency, survival with different strains reared in swamp waters. This study used a completely randomized design consisting of three treatments and three replications, namely rearing using different strains of tilapia, blue tilapia (P1), red tilapia (P2), and black tilapia (P3), with a stocking density of 50 m-3. The results showed that the differences in tilapia strains reared in swamp waters significantly affected survival rates, but did not significantly effect absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, and feed efficiency. Based on absolute growth rate, feed efficiency, and survival rate the best treatment was blue tilapia (P1) and black tilapia (P3) which resulted in absolute length growth of 3.14 cm and 2.93 cm, absolute weight growth of 6.67 g and 6.65 g, feed efficiency of 24.65% and 23.96 %, with survival rate of blue tilapia 74% and black tilapia 72.67%.
