The media agenda is a process of emphasizing issues that are considered important by the media to be conveyed to the public. This study aims to look at the agenda of the Harian Umum Palembang Pos in reporting on environmental issues such as floods and waste in the city of Palembang. This study uses the agenda setting theory of Rogers and Dearing's model. This study examines the dimensions of the media agenda for reporting environmental issues with the aim of focusing on the agenda carried out by the media. Agenda setting is a theory that emphasizes that the media has power in raising issues that are considered important by the media. As for the use of framing analysis as a supporting theory to help researchers analyze the process of selection and prominence of environmental issues by journalists or the media. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Palembang Pos Daily Media in reporting on environmental issues in Palembang City is still weak. First, journalists consider the interests of society in the process of selecting environmental issues. However, the impact of the flood and garbage events is an aspect of the protruding issue that leads to the portrayal of the government's image. Second, the content of environmental news does not only address the interests and needs of the community, but the media also depicts government involvement in both positive and negative images. Third, the media presents brief and long news content based on the statements of news sources. Media does not reflect reality based on in-depth data on the ground.
