This research is entitled “Interpersonal Communication of Long Distance Relationship In Maintaining Relationships Through Whatsapp”. This study aims to determine the phenomenon of long distance relationships couple in maintaining relationships through whatsapp. The method used is descriptive qualitative research using the triangular theory of love by Sternberg (1998) and using a phenomenological approach to show a phenomenom from three different long distance relationships couples. Methods of data collection using depth interviews with reference and documentation to making the date more comprehensive. The result showed one of three couples is having balance split pattern and the rest is equality pattern. Keyword: interpersonal communication, triangular theory of love, Communication pattern, whatsapp, LDR.
