Oil palm plamations and Indonesia's prime commodity to meet the world's demand for demand for vegetable oil. One of the main markets for Indonesian palm oil is India. To increase palm oil exports, the govermanent is pursuing economic diplomacy with India, by utilizing the Free Trade Area Various promotional programs continue to be carried out by the lodonesian government. This rescurch focuses on cooperation between Indonesia and India through the ASEAN-Indis Free Trade Area (AIFTA). The method used is descriptive qualitative with primary data through interviews with the Trade Office of South Sumatra Province. This research uses secundary data through lüerature and documentation studies. This study. adies. This study uses that theory of Economic Diplomacy by Peter Van Bergeijk Selwyn Moons which is divided into three elements of d elements of diplomacy. The fint is the use of political influence and relations, the second is the use of economic amets and relations, and the third is the consolidation of the right political climate and economic envirumment. The results of research on econuπίς diplomacy efforts by the Government of hidonesia, resulted in a governement policy numely the Biodiesel 20 (B20) program. In conducting diplomacy, the government uses the concep af 0 to Gor Government to Government and to Bur Business to Basiness. The I govemment is utilizing assistance from the WTO world trade organization and the council of palm oil producing countries (CPOPC). In addition, the government continues to carry out promotional activities, in terms of performance activities both nationally and intcruationally by involving elements of the government. As an agricultural country, the government has a policy that regulates foreign trade which is contained in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2014 concensing Trade the povemment supports export activities and guarantees the rights owned hy exporters and importers.
