The Untted States is a coutry with great infiuence in the world. Mearwhile, the Middle Eart is known as a very unstable region whick is exocerbated by Iran's nuclear development which cannot be stopped anymore with the economic sanctions given. Therefore, the United States and the four UN permanent security council countries (France, Britain, China, and Russia) took the tnitiative to form an agreement that regulates Iran's nuclear development and is then called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). However, Donald Trump decided to excit the JCPOA in 2018 and re-impose economic sanctions on Iran. During Joe Biden's administration, the United States made a shift in the direction of foreign policy by attempting to return to the JCPOA. Of course, further study is needed regarding the shift in the direction of US foreign policy in the Middle East during the Joe Biden administration from the perspective of constructivism, especially towards the JCPOA. The theory used in this study is the theary of constructivism by looking at how factors affect the shift in US foreign policy in the Middle East during the Joe Biden administration, especially towards the JCPOA. This research will focus on the dimensions of identity, interests, and culture of anarchy in answering research questions. After collecting data, the researcher found that the shift in the direction of US foreign policy in the Middle East during the Joe Biden administration from the perspective of constructivism, especially towards the JCPOA, was caused by the factor of differences in party identity between President Donald Trump (Republican Party) and President Joe Biden (Democratic Party), the factor of differences in President Trump's interests to advance the US economy and military with President Biden's interests to restore US geopolitics with multilateral cooperation, and the factor of differences in the culture of anarchy where President Donald Trump has a Hlobbesian culture while President Joe Biden has a Kantian culture. Thus, the shift in the direction of US foreign policy in the Middle East during the Joe Biden administration from the perspective of constructivism, especially in the JCPOA was influenced by identity, interests, and culture of anarchy Keywords: Foreign policy, constructivism, shifts, multilateral agreement
