The number of eye health problems case experienced by the people of South Sumatra Province is at a high level. Therefore, the "Binar" Special Eye Hospital in South Sumatra Province is making efforts in the form of direct and online Eye Health Outreach to provide free eye health education to the public. However, in fact these efforts have not yielded maximum results. Therefore, researchers conducted research that aimed to find out how to increase the interest of the people of South Sumatra Province to take part in eye health socialization activities directly or online. This research uses a qualitative method based on Persuasive Communication Theory by Myers (2012: 309) with several dimensions, namely the communicator, the message, how the message is conveyed, and the audience which aims to maximize persuasive activities towards the community. The results of this study indicate that Eye Health Outreach which is carried out in person or online is the right action for public eye health. However, the activities carried out were not optimal due to obstacles to communicators, namely a lack of human resources, poor scheduler management, and a lack of public interest in education about eye health.
