This study aims to analyze the impact of South Korean cultural diplomacy through broadcasting Korean dramas in Indonesia and the national interests that South Korea wants to achieve as the object of its study. In this study the authors used a descriptive qualitative research method by describing national interests and the cooperation that exists between Indonesia and South Korea. This study uses the concept of national interest from Jack C. Plano R.O and the concept of international cooperation from Dougherty. Data processing is carried out by means of the library method by searching for literature that is related to the author's problems. The results of the research conducted show that Indonesian people are very interested in South Korean culture since the emergence of Korean dramas in Indonesia. The results of the study also prove that South Korea's national interests, especially in the economic sector, have been fulfilled, as evidenced by the high value of cultural exports carried out by South Korea to Indonesia. In achieving political interests, South Korea is considered successful in creating a good image in Indonesia. The role of the South Korean government is needed in the success of achieving South Korea's national interests in Indonesia. Key words: National Interest, Cultural Diplomacy, Korean Drama
