The study aims to identify and analyze how sexism is shown in the female athletes' headlines by two prominent online news sites, indosport.com and okez.com. The method for collecting data is the documentary study of articles related to female athletes on both online news sites. The analysis is done through a framing approach commissioned by zhongdang pan and Gerald kosicki, which includes syntactic devices, scripts, thematics, and rhetoric. Sexism in the publicity of sports can affect the public view of women in the sports world, reducing appreciation for their achievements. It can also influence the participation of women in sports because they feel underappreciated. The study has found that there is a discrepity in the development of female athletes at the Internet news site indosport.com and okez.com. The differences include different styles of speech and a focus of reporting on female athletes. However, there was a similarity in the use of the word "beauty" in their headlines, which gave more attention to the physical appearance than the athletic achievements of female athletes.
