Humblebragging by @willy_kjv in several posts on his instagram account is a media message that he gives to the audience that has it’s own purpose and obejctives, but the audience acceptance of the message given by @willy_kjv also has a different views and descriptions according to how they procces the media message. This research uses reception analysis which aims to determine how the process of reception or acceptance from the audience against humblebragging conducted by @willy_kjv and by using the theory of encoding and decoding proposed by Stuart Hall to determine in which position the audience is located. In this research using qualitative methods to obtain the results that is, the acceptance process carried out by the audience against to the act of humblebragging on several post on several posts on the @willy_kjv instagram account isdivided into three audience positions, a dominant position that fully supports humblebragging by @willy_kjv, a negotiating position that simultaneously supports and rejects humblebragging by @willy_kjv and on oppositional position that categorically rejects humblebragging carried out by @willy_kjv.
