STUDI EKSPERIMEN PENGARUH JUMLAH SUDU IMPELLER FORWARD TERHADAP PERFORMA POMPA SENTRIFUGAL FM 50
This study discusses the effect of the number of impeller blades on the performance of centrifugal pumps. Impeller is one of the factors that affect pump performance, in an effort to improve pump performance, impeller modifications are carried out. One of the impeller modifications is to change the number of impeller blades. This research was carried out experimentally using an Armfield FM 50 centrifugal pump. The 6 blade forward impeller was recast by varying the number of blades: 4, 5, 7, 8 and tested with speed variations: 1050, 1200, and 1350 rpm data collection starting from 0 lps capacity up to the maximum capacity of each rotation speed. From the experimental results it is known that increasing the number of blades increases the head and hydraulic power and the impeller with 8 blades has a higher value compared to the other blades. While reducing the number of blades can increase the efficiency of the pump and impeller with 5 blades has the highest efficiency.
