PERILAKU PELAJAR PENGGUNA GAME ONLINE DI DESA CELIKAH KECAMATAN KAYUAGUNG KABUPATEN OKI
This study is entitled "Student Behavior of Online Game Users in Celikah Village Kayuagung District OKI Regency". The purpose of this research is to find out the background of students who use online games and the behavior of students who use online games. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques namely: observation, interviews and documentation. This study was analyzed using three concepts from Pierre Bourdiou namely: habitus, field, and capital. The results of the study found that the background of students using online games is: looking for entertainment so they don't get bored and bored, online games are of interest, obtaining information from playmates and obtaining information from social media. Furthermore, the form of behavior of students using online games, namely: habitus in the form of the duration of time spent playing online games and the habit of playing online games has an impact on school activities, the field in the form of competition between players and places to play online games, and capital in the form of a culture of playing online games and economic conditions. From this theory it produces social practices, namely the habit of students playing online games for more than 2 hours per day, wasteful behavior, laziness in learning, lack of focus and likes to fall asleep in class, and disobedience to parents.
