The purpose of this research is to understand the social actions of creative communities with disabilities in an effort to improve social welfare in creative communities with disabilities in South Sumatra Province. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Data collection was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with 9 informants, documentation and literature study, then analyzed using the theory of social action proposed by Max Weber. The results of this study indicate that the background of social action in the creative community of disabilities is the first gap in the provision of employment for persons with disabilities, secondly coaching in developing the potential skills of persons with disabilities, thirdly accommodating the efforts of persons with disabilities to be more directed and independent. As for the form of social action of the creative community of disabilities, namely the existence of a motive for action against persons with disabilities by carrying out activities that are sustainable (Instrumental rationality means-goal), there is good value seen from achievements such as financial assistance from Sumsel Babel (Value action), Actions carried out because of feelings that arise are fully planned and conscious (Affective action), participate as volunteers (Traditional action).
