Indonesia is the largest exporter and producer of palm oil in the world because it controls 58 percent of the world's palm oil market share. However, Indonesia is experiencing several obstacles in promoting palm oil in the international market due to trade barriers. Which, the European Union published the RED II policy, the RED II policy is a protectionism policy. This is a problem and a challenge for Indonesia. And in this study the theory of Multilateral Diplomacy is used to find out the dialogue and negotiations carried out by the Indonesian government. This research uses qualitative research methods and primary and secondary data sources obtained through interviews and books, journals, articles, and websites related to the research topic. The research results obtained show that the multilateral diplomacy carried out within the ASEAN-EU is producing results, at least Indonesia has received efforts with the existence of a Joint Working Group on Palm Oil. However, the Joint Working Group on Palm Oil has not discussed in more depth regarding the agreement, there is still no clear point regarding the agreement of mutual interests. For this reason, in the context of trade in palm oil to the European Union market, it has not been successful due to the power relations between Indonesia and the European Union. KEY WORDS : Palm Oil, ASEAN-EU, Multilateral Diplomacy, RED POLICY II
