FAKTOR – FAKTOR DALAM MENINGKATKAN EKSPOR LADA PUTIH DI PROVINSI KEPULAUAN BANGKA BELITUNG PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID – 19
This study aims to analyze what factors influenced the increase in white pepper exports in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the COVID – 19 pandemic. This study used a qualitative research method. The data sources used by researchers are primary data and secondary data in 2020 – 2021. Primary data was obtained from interviews with PT. Makro Jaya Lestari as one of the Bangka Belitung white pepper exporter companies, the Department of Industry and Trade Service of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, and the Department of Agriculture and Food Security of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. As well as sukender data obtained from various sources such as journals, documents, and official websites. The results of the study show that there are four factors belonging to Porter (1990) that influence competitive advantage. Judging from the condition factor, Bangka Belitung is a country with the largest pepper area and pepper production in Indonesia. Judging from the demand factor, demand for white pepper exported from Indonesia and Bangka Belitung still exists during the COVID – 19 pandemic. There is a role for the government and other forms of cooperation, such as IJEPA and AFTA to continue to support the increase in exports of Bangka Belitung white pepper to the international market. In addition, the COVID – 19 outbreak has caused transportation problems which have caused the export price of white pepper to increase. Then, the company's strategies, such as maintaining regular customers, workforce, and market opportunities have also affected the increase in white pepper exports in Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the COVID – 19 pandemic.
