HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA DAN KONSEP DIRI DENGAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SANTRI
The lower the student's learning motivation, the worse his activities and actions in learning activities, which are marked by the results of the attendance recapitulation that there are still students who are not present during learning so that they can cause poor semester grades. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and self-concept with student learning motivation. This research is a quantitative study using a correlational design with a cross sectional research design. The research sample of 63 respondents was taken by non probability sampling using purposive sampling technique that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Statistical analysis of this study used the Chi-Square test with a value of α = 0.05. The test results on the family support variable p value 0.007 and self-concept p value 0.000 so that it can be stated that there is a significant relationship between family support and self-concept with student learning motivation. The results of this study indicate that respondents with less family support and negative self-concept experience low learning motivation. The family environment of each individual needs family or parental support in achieving learning motivation, because this support and attention can determine the individual's ability to achieve good learning achievement and individuals with a negative self-concept, then someone has a pessimistic attitude towards learning activities, causing low learning motivation.
