PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN DENGAN MEDIA PERMAINAN KAGASI TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN REMAJA PUTRI TENTANG ANEMIA DI SMA NEGERI 13 PALEMBANG
The lack of knowledge among adolescents about anemia causes them to neglect its prevention. Anemia is a condition where hemoglobin (Hb) levels in the blood are below normal. Anemia could reduce academic ability and the body would be vulnerable to infection. Adolescent girls are particularly at high risk of developing anemia due to increased nutritional needs, especially iron, due to unbalanced diet, increased physical activity, and menstruation. Health education targeting adolescent is a vital approach to enhance their knowledge and awareness about anemia. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of health education with Kagasi media game on the knowledge of adolescent girls about anemia. The type of study was a pre-experimental with one-group pretest-posttest research design. The sampling technique used in this study was cluster sampling with 92 respondents in Senior High School 13 Palembang. The data was collected by using a questionnaire about the knowledge of anemia. The results of the study with Wilcoxon test shows that the p value 0,000 < 0,05, which means there was a significant influence on the adolescent girls knowledge of anemia after being given health education with the Kagasi media game. The use of Kagasi media games can be one of the approach on strategies and interactive media used in health education as a promotional effort from an early age in order to improve knowledge of anemia in adolescents.
