KARAKTERISTIK FISIKA DAN KIMIA TANAH GAMBUT DI KEBUN RAYA SRIWIJAYA
Sriwijaya Botanical Garden is a peat area, so it is necessary to carry out mapping to determine the physical and chemical characteristics of the soil, namely peat thickness, peat maturity, N-Total, P-Available and K. Maps can be used by the Sriwijaya Botanical Garden as an estimate in the management and development of land in the Sriwijaya Botanical Garden. This research was conducted at the Sriwijaya Botanical Garden with an area of ± 100 ha, Bakung Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The methodology used is a detailed survey method using a 1:10,000 scale working map. Sampling using the grid method is taken 20 sample points, where 1 sample point represents 5 hectares. The parameters taken include peat thickness, peat maturity, N-Total, P-Available and K. Results showed that peatlands in the Sriwijaya Botanical Garden have the most dominant maturity level, namely fibrik and peat thickness dominated very deep ranging from 70-469 cm. N-Total is high 0.68% to very high with values ranging from 0.95-1.83%, P-Available is very low to very high with values ranging from 4.16-189.87 mg kg-1 and low to very high K-values with values ranging from 0.12-5.11 cmol kg-1. Keywords: Characteristics of soil, Mapping, Peatlands.
