ANALISIS VEGETASI DOMINAN DALAM PELAKSANAAN REVEGETASI DENGAN LUAS AREA 1.001,102 HA BERDASARKAN HASIL ANALISIS NORMALIZED DIFFERENCE VEGETATION INDEX (NDVI) PADA SITE BINUNGAN MINE OPERATION 1 DI PT BERAU COAL, KABUPATEN BERAU, KALIMANTAN TIMUR
PT Berau Coal is the fifth largest company in Indonesia operating in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan Province and has been operating since April 26, 1983 after obtaining a Coal Mining Concession Agreement of Work (PKP2B) with a current concession area of 108,900 hectares and has four mining areas (sites). Currently PT Berau Coal has a mine closure plan document for the Binungan Mine Operation (BMO) 1 site, pthere is a mining operation area that has been planned for the final hue of the mine and mine closure program. Current remote sensing technology can meet the increasing needs in a fast and precise processing time, so an approach is used with the revegetation GIS analysis method which is the main data, vegetation analysis to understand the environmental condition of the revegetation area from the seedling stage to planting, and NDVI analysis by determining the index value parameters in order to map the density of the post-mining site revegetation area header BMO 1 block 12, block 14, and block 56. The results of this study were the highest percentage of high vegetation category 29.49% in block 56 and for the highest percentage of low vegetation category 17.94% in block 14. Thus, the NDVI analysis map can be used as a reference in further revegetation monitoring activities at PT Berau Coal.
