PEMURNIAN EKSTRAK FENOLIK BEKATUL MENGGUNAKAN METODE ADSORPSI-DESORPSI DINAMIS
This research aims to purify rice bran phenolic extract using dynamic adsorption-desorption method. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) Non Factorial with 1 level of treatment and each treatment was repeated 2 times. The treatment factors included 2 stages, including stage 1 which included variations in adsorption flow rates (1 BV/h, 2 BV/h, 3 BV/h, 4 BV/h, 5 BV/h, 6 BV/h, 7 BV/h , 8 BV/h, 9 BV/h, and 10 BV/h) and stage 2 includes variations in the desorption flow rate (1 BV/h, 2 BV/h, 3 BV/h, 4 BV/h, 5 BV/h , 6 BV/h, 7 BV/h, 8 BV/h, 9 BV/h, and 10 BV/h). Parameters considered included percent recovery, total phenolic, adsorption and desorption efficiency, antioxidant activity, extract yield, purity and total carbohydrates. This study used a semi-polar adsorbent with a recovery percentage of 98.3%. The results showed that the adsorption flow rate had a significant effect on the adsorbed phenolic content and the desorption flow rate had a significant effect on the phenolic content of pure bran phenolic extract. Treatment A4 (adsorption flow rate 4 BV/h) and treatment D4 (desorption flow rate 4 BV/h) were the best flow rate treatments with adsorption and desorption efficiency of 95.03% and 90.75%. The phenolic content of the pure bran phenolic extract was 1.7088 mg GAE/g and the antioxidant activity was 51.51% with an IC50 value of 0.15 mg/ml. The yield of pure extract powder produced was 6.12% by phenolic purification of the extract was 10,2% and the total carbohydrate concentration was 0.04163 mg/ml.
