PENGARUH JARAK APLIKASI DAN DOSIS KAPUR KIESERITE TERHADAP KANDUNGAN MAGNESIUM DAUN, PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.)
This study aims to determine the response of oil palm to the distance of application and the doses of kieserite lime that is effective for the growth and yield of oil palm plants. The research was conducted at the Oil Palm Research Plantation (-3.221'257",104.639"65.2), Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra from December 2022 to March 2023. This study used Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with two treatment factors, namely; 1) Kieserite lime doses consisting of 3 treatment levels, D0 = 0 kg/plant, D1 = 6 kg/plant, D2 = 12 kg/plant; 2) Liming distance consisting of 3 treatment levels, R0 = 50 cm, R1 = 100 cm, R2 = 150 cm. The combination of treatments was 9 units, each unit was repeated 3 times, so that the number of sample plants was 27 plants. The results showed that the application of kieserite lime can increase soil pH. Analysis of leaf nutrients experienced the highest increase found at a dose of 12 kg / plant with a distance of 100 cm. Based on the results of analysis of variance in the doses treatment of kieserite lime had a significant effect on changing the number of female flower bunches while at the application distance did not have a significant effect on changing the number of spear leaves, the number of male flower bunches, the number of female flower bunches, the number of crooked fronds and the weight of fruit bunches. At a dose of 12 kg / plant with a distance of 50 cm is the best treatment for the increase in the number of female flower bunches.
