The purpose if this study was to compare the result of the planning flexible pavement is calculated by Component Analysis Method and Method AASHTO 1993. The research was conducted on road- Kolonel H. Barlian right segment. CBR secondary data, location maps and data LHR in 2010. The data is inputted in the program and analyzed throught the Lotus 123. The result of the analysis of the two methods produce different pavement. Component Analysis Method produces a layer of pavement on I: 10 cm, layer II: 20 cm, layer III: 25 cm. Method AASHTO 1993, the layer I: 10 cm, layer II: 15 cm, and layer III: 22 cm. The conclusion can be drawn that the pavement thickness calculation result of both methods are the same on the surface layer, but differ in the upper of foundation and foundation below. The difference in the calculation result because of differences in design parameters of both methods.
