PT Banyan Koalindo Lestari in engaged in coal mining which is located in North Musirawas, South Sumatera Province, In coal mining activitiy, companiy often did not achieve the planned production targets. Which in August 2022 the company planned to strip overburden of 309,000 BCM, while the realization in the field was only 275,000 BCM and the coal mining plan was 55,253 tons while the realization reached 42,455 tons. In September 2022 the company planed to strip 397,777 BCM of overburden, while the realization in the field was only 376,529 BCM and the coal mining plan was 71,035 tons while the realization was only 61,633 tons. The production target was not achieved due to several factors, including the number equipment and match factor. This study aims to analyze the factors that effect the productivity of the equipment and to plan the loading and hauling equipment number needed to acieve production target. The observed data are on haul road conditions, material factors, cycle times, of loading and hauling equipment and effective working times. The methodology of this research is to analyze the factors that effect the productivity of the equipment and then calculate the productivity used to plan the number of the equipment requirements to achieve production targets. Based on the calculation result on stripping overburden, the average productivity of the Liugong 952 E Excavator is 83.542 BCM/month and the average producticity of the Iveco 682 dump truck is 12.847 BCM/month. For coal getting activities the productivity of the Hitachi Zaxis 470 LC excavator is 60.129 tons/month and the productivity of the Qeuster CWE 370 dump truck is 13.055 tons/month. To achieve production target that 434.947 BCM, 5 units of Liugong 952 E excavators and 6 units of Iveco 682 dump truks are needed for each overburden stripping fleet with match factor close to 1. To achieve the coal production of 66.353 tons, 1 unit of Hitachi Zaxis 470 LC excavator and 5 unit of Quester CWE 370 dump trucks and match factor 1.
