PENGARUH TEMPERATUR SINTERING PADA KERAMIK HIDROKSIAPATIT TERDOPING TEMBAGA 3, 3.5, DAN 4 MOL
Hydroxyapatite is a derivative of calcium phosphate and is not a small part of it is also used for coating on bones because it is very good biocompatible. Copper was chosen as undoubtedly because it works to improve angiogenic and antibacterial hydroxyapatite. The addition of copper in the biomaterial is currently being prepared because it is expected to improve the biological properties of bone graft substitutes. Copper-doped hydroxyapatite ceramics (CuHA) are made with high-temperature solid state sintering between a mixture of HA and CuO powders. This study aims to determine the effect of sintering temperature on CuHA ceramics. The synthesis of HA powder is made by the calcination method using an electric furnace with a temperature of 800°C for two hours. CuHA ceramics are made using the solid state sintering method with temperature variations of 1000, 1100, 1200°C heating rate of 10°C/min with a compaction pressure of 150 MPa and a Composition of CuO of 3.3.5 and 4 moles. From the XRD test, it can be known that the composition of the phase formed is HA (hydroxyapatite), CuO and the new phase of tricalcium phosphate. From several other tests, it is known that the greater the sintering temperature used, the smaller the percentage percentage will be between 51.304% and 45.499%. In the press test, a compressive strength value will be obtained between 23,842 to 15.88 MPa. Shrinkage results obtained shrinkage values between 58.535% to 50.875%.
