Keberadaan pelaku UMKM di Indonesia mempunyai peran dan kontribusi yang sangat besar dalam mendorong perekonomian Nasional. Berdasarkan data dari Dinas Koperasi dan UKM, jumlah UMKM di Indonesia terus meningkat . Pertumbuhan yang pesat ini juga terjadi di Kota Palembang, mencapai 48.827 pelaku usaha pada tahun 2020. Meningkatnya jumlah UMKM ini diiringi dengan kurangnya wadah atau fasilitas ruang bagi pelaku UMKM yang mengakibatkan turunnya produktifitas untuk berkembang dan mencapai skala ekonomi yang semakin besar atau dikenal dengan fenomena missing middle (Chang-Tei Hsieh dan Benjamin A.Olken melalui jurnal ekonomi The Missing “Missing Middle” (2014). Perancangan Pusat Pelatihan Pemasaran UMKM di Kota Palembang ini hadir sebagai wadah bagi pelaku UMKM untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dengan memotivasi dan meningkatkan kemampuan manajerial dalam mengelola usaha agar naik kelas. Untuk meningkatkan produktifitas perlu adanya ruang pelatihan dengan pencahayaan alami yang maksimal ke dalam ruang, elaborasi warna merah dan prada yang memberikan keberanian dalam mendorong penciptaan ide atau kreativitas, serta ruang hijau pada ruang luar dan ruang dalam yang dapat meningkatkan produktifitas bagi pelaku UMKM. Untuk meningkatkan pemasaran pusat pelatihan pemasaran ini diorientasikan menghadap sudut pandang mata pengendara dengan elaborasi Arsitektur Abstrak Regionalisme Aesan Paksangkong yang diperkuat dalam bentuk atap dan fasad serta elaborasi warna merah atau prada pada secondary skin dengan material aluminium metal sebagai identitas regional Kota Palembang. Pusat Pelatihan Pemasaran ini menggunakan struktur atap space frame untuk mempertegas bentuk Aesan Paksangkong dengan material penutup atap ACP. The existence of MSMEs in Indonesia has a very large role and contribution in driving the national economy. Based on data from the Office of Cooperatives and SMEs, the number of MSMEs in Indonesia continues to increase. This rapid growth has also occurred in the City of Palembang, reaching 48,827 business actors in 2020. The increase in the number of MSMEs is accompanied by a lack of space or space facilities for MSME actors which results in decreased productivity to develop and achieve greater economic scale or known as the missing phenomenon. middle (Chang-Tei Hsieh and Benjamin A.Olken through the economic journal The Missing "Missing Middle" (2014). The design of the MSME Marketing Training Center in Palembang City is present as a forum for MSME actors to increase productivity by motivating and improving managerial skills in managing effort to move up a grade To increase productivity there is a need for a training room with maximum natural lighting into the room, elaboration of red and prada colors that provide courage in encouraging the creation of ideas or creativity, as well as green spaces in outdoor and indoor spaces that can increase productivity for MSME actors. To improve marketing, this marketing training center is oriented towards the driver's point of view with the elaboration of Abstract Architecture of Aesan Paksangkong Regionalism which is strengthened in the form of the roof and facade as well as the elaboration of red or prada on the secondary skin with aluminum metal material as the regional identity of Palembang City. This Marketing Training Center uses a space frame roof structure to emphasize the shape of Aesan Paksangkong with ACP roof covering material.
