PENGARUH PERENDAMAN SENYAWA INHIBITOR ALAMI SERAI (Cymbopogon nardus L.) TERHADAP PERTUNASAN RIMPANG GANYONG (Canna edulis Ker.) SELAMA PENYIMPANAN

This study aim to determine the effect of giving natural inhibitory compounds on sprouting in canna tubers (Canna edullis Ker.) during storage. The study was conducted in October 2021 until January 2022 at the Plant Physiology Laboratory and in Sukaraya Village, Baturaja, South Sumatra. This research used a Randomized Block Design (RBD), consisted 5 treatment was repeated 4 times so that there were 20 experimental units, each experimental unit contained 6 tubers so that in total there were 120 tubers. The treatment for soaking the seeds on the natural inhibitors of citronella, namely: P0: Without Soaking, P1: Soaking in the natural inhibitors of lemongrass for 15 minutes, P2: Soaking in the natural inhibitors of lemongrass for 30 minutes, P3: Soaking in citronella natural inhibitor for 45 minutes, P4: Soaking in lemongrass natural inhibitor for 60 minutes. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the administration of natural inhibitory compounds has not been able to have an effect on shoot growth, plant height, number of leaves, rhizome weight in canna (Canna edulis Ker.).
