INDEKS KESEHATAN TANAMAN BELANGERAN (Shorea Balangeran) BERBASIS NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Indeks) PADA LAHAN TERBAKAR DAN TIDAK TERBAKAR DI DEMPLOT RESTORASI GAMBUT AGROSILVOFISHERY SEPUCUK OGAN KOMERING ILIR
Indonesia peatlands have several advantages since they are crucial for producing wood and non-timber forest products, storing and supplying water, storing carbon, and serving as habitats for a variety of unique plants and animals that can only be found in peat areas The enterprise degraded the peat area by building canals through which the bog became damaged, dry, and combustible, leading to a change in the use of the peatland. Peat restoration is an initiative to conserve and manage the natural water system as well as to accelerate the restoration of the peat swamp ecosystem inside of the peat hydrological unit. The Landsat satellite is one of the remote sensing satellites possessing sensors that can identify chlorophyll concentration. To verify the accuracy of the Landsat 8 images data by measuring how green the belangeran plants are. One of the criteria used to evaluate the level of vegetation in an area is the vegetation index.. This research start from January 2023 to February 2023 in the peatland restoration area of Sepucuk, Kedaton Village, Kayuagung District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. The method used in this research is classification using NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index). NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) is a combination of augmentation techniques and image reduction techniques that describe the level of greenness of a plant. NDVI is a mathematical combination between the red band and the NIR band which has long been used as an indicator of the presence and condition of vegetation. Sampling of leaves using the Random Sampling method. According to the results, the unburned demonstration plots had healthy plants with an average index value of 0.33 to 0.66 and a chlorophyll content of 13.595 to 17.68 mg/L, while the burned demonstration plots had an average index value of 0 – 0. 33 (unhealthy plants) and chlorophyll content 6.757 – 10.443 mg/L. On burned and unburned demonstration plots, the vegetation index (NDVI) and chlorophyll of belangeran plants showed a positive correlation. Based on the results of statistical tests, the correlation value between the vegetation index (NDVI) and the chlorophyll of belangeran plants in the burne demonstration plot was 0.91 and 0.919 in the unburned demonstration plot, both of which were included in the very strong category.
