Aloe vera and guava leaves are natural ingredients that contain antimicrobials that can inhibit the growth and kill pathogenic bacteria such as Escherichia coli bacteria. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of aloe vera and guava leaves in inhibiting the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria in the intestines and quail eggs. The variables observed in this study included mortality, the number of bacteria in the intestine and the number of bacteria in quail eggs. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments. The treatment in this study consisted of R0 = (positive control) infected with Escherichia coli bacteria and not given supplementation, R1 = (negative control) not infected with Escherichia coli bacteria and not given supplementation, R2 = infected with Escherichia coli bacteria and given 2% aloe vera supplementation , R3 = infected with Escherichia coli bacteria and supplemented with 4% aloe vera, R4 = infected with Escherichia coli bacteria and supplemented with 2% aloe vera and 2% guava leaves. The results showed that there was no mortality during the study, the effectiveness of aloe vera and guava leaf supplementation was significantly different (P0.05) on the number of Escherichia coli bacteria in quail eggs. The conclusion of this study is that supplementation of aloe vera and guava leaves in drinking water can inhibit the growth of bacteria and kill Escherichia coli bacteria in the intestines and quail eggs. This is due to the content of active substances in aloe vera and guava leaves.
