Chaya (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius) is an annual vegetable plant that originate from Yucatan peninsula of Mexico. This plant is propagated vegetatively by stem cutiings, because chaya’s reproductive organs does not function properly. This study aims to study the appropriate cutting length for the growth and yield of Chaya plants. The research was carried out in the Mandala experimental field from August to October 2022. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with the different length of stem cuttings with the treatment consisted of 6 replications and then the data were analyzed used the ANOVA method. The result showed that 30 cm cuttings had the highest percentage of living cuttings and growing shoots compared to 20 cm and 25 cm cuttings. The length treatment of stem cuttings was the best treatment to increase the yield of chaya shoot length, but did not increase canopy area, number of leaves, number of branches, shoot diameter, total leaf area, fresh weight of leaf lamina, fresh weight of leaf petiole, fresh weight of shoots, dry weight of lamina. leaves, leaf petiole dry weight, and shoot dry weight. In conclusion, 30 cm stem cuttings produced the best growth of chaya compared to 20 cm and 25 cm stem cuttings.
