EFEKTIVITAS FORMULASI BIOINSEKTISIDA DENGAN CAMPURAN LIMBAH PADAT AGROINDUSTRI SEBAGAI MEDIA TUMBUH BACILLUS THURINGIENSIS DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP LARVA ORYCTES RHINOCEROS
Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is a type of plantation crop that is superior in the agro-industrial sector in Indonesia. The area of oil palm plantations in Indonesia reaches 14,663.60 hectares with domestic palm oil production reaching 51.3 million tons. In 2018, total palm oil exports reached 21.1 billion dollars or 393.4 trillion rupiah in 2018. In production, of course there are obstacles from pests that attack oil palm plants. Horn beetle or Oryctes rhinoceros is the main pest that attacks oil palm plantations. As a result of these pest attacks, the production of fresh fruit bunches can decrease by up to 69% in the first year of harvest. And can result in the death of young plants up to 25%. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of bioinsecticides from agro-industrial solid waste on the mortality of O. rhinoceros larvae. Farmers generally control these pests using chemical pesticides. Indonesia has annually increased the use of pesticides by 10%. Utilization of entomopathogen-based biological agents can be an alternative in controlling these pests. This research was conducted at the Entomology Laboratory with static temperature and humidity conditions. This research method used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of four treatments: P1: (tapioca waste + oil palm meal), P2: (tapioca waste + tofu dregs), P3 (tapioca waste + peanut meal), P4 (tapioca waste + corn ammo) and one control P% (water) with four replications. Six test insects were used for each replication. The results showed that the mortality of O. rhinoceros larvae was significantly different between treatments with the highest mortality rate coming from P1, which was 100% and then kemudian P2 sebesar 91.7%, P3 79.7% dan P4 75.1%. Symptoms of test insect death will be seen for 24 hours after application. Infected test insects will experience changes in morphology from white to blackish brown and lazy movement behavior, loss of appetite and unresponsiveness. Dead larvae will be soft, rotten and slimy
