SISTEM KONTROL POSISI PADA KERAMBA JARING APUNG OTOMATIS MENGGUNAKAN PENGENDALI PID
floating net cage that is used for cultivating marine animals. It is a container or box-shaped device that floats on the water's surface and is made of bamboo, iron, or wood slats, woven together to specific dimensions. This study aims to design a position control system for an automatic floating net cage using a PID controller. The use of an automatic floating net cage is expected to address issues in fish farming, such as massive fish mortality due to changes in water quality. Test results show that the PID controller provides satisfactory outcomes in controlling the position of the floating net cage, using the compass error and distance as movement indicators. The tests on the floating net cage using the PID controller with the Ziegler-Nichols method resulted in the following values: Kp = 3.6, Ki = 2.823529, and Kd = 1.1475. These values demonstrated better performance, with an average distance error of 0.68 meters and a stable heading error approaching zero, compared to the PID controller using the trial and error method with Kp = 3.6, Ki = 2.5, and Kd = 1.5, which showed an average distance error of 0.9 meters and significant heading errors with angle changes. Thus, the PID controller can be effectively used in the automatic control system for positioning the floating net cage to reach and maintain desired positions. The PID controller with the Ziegler-Nichols method showed superior performance in stably controlling the movement of the floating net cage. Therefore, this research contributes to the improvement of successful fish farming using the floating net cage.
