This development research has been carried out media and electronic validation in terms of physical and functional aspects with a percentage of 77.61% with a decent category, and for practicality tests obtained from material validation / trainers a percentage of 75.00% with practical categories. Furthermore, the effectiveness test in this study was a small group normality test with a pretest of 0.074 and a posttest of 0.200. Then the homogeneity test in the small group obtained a sig of 0.919 on the pretest and posttest, and the paired samples test obtained a calculated t value of 11.148 with a significant level of 0.000 Based on the test criteria it was stated that t count > t table or 11.148 > 1.761 so the development of a pitcher machine training tool effective for improving smash exercises on small group trials. Meanwhile, the normality trial of a large group with a pretest of 0.061 and a posttest of 0.140. Then the homogeneity test in the large group of sig 0.847 in the pretest and posttest, and the paired samples test obtained a calculated t value of 28.646 with a significant level of 0.000. Based on the test criteria, it was stated that t count > ttable or 28,646 > 1,729 so the development of an effective pitcher machine exercise tool to improve smash training in small and large group trials. Thereis also a difference in the average pretest and posttest values in small and large groups. From the results of the research and discussion concluded that the feasibility / validity states that the product is feasible with the level of practical relevance of the trainer, and the development of this pitcher machine training tool is very effective as a badminton smash training tool. Meanwhile, the advice given to coaches, can take advantage of the development of badminton smash training aids based on pitcher machine technology as an update in the training process.
