UJI KINERJA HAND TRACTOR RODA BESI PADA PENGOLAHAN TANAH DENGAN VARIASI KEDALAMAN PEMBAJAKAN, KECEPATAN MAJU DAN BEBAN PEMBERAT TERHADAP KEBUTUHAN BAHAN BAKAR
This research aims to determine the fuel consumption of an iron-wheeled hand tractor in soil processing with various tillage depths, forward speeds, and load weights. The study was conducted from May 2nd, 2023, to June 15th, 2023, at the Laboratory of Machinery, Soil and Water Engineering Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The research method used was a Randomized Block Design with three treatment factors: Tillage Depth, Forward Speed, and Load Weight. The research parameters consisted of main parameters and supporting parameters. The main parameter was Fuel Consumption, while the supporting parameters included Bulk Density, Wheel Slip, Wheel Rotation Speed, Travel Time per Track, Wheel Load Pressure, Soil Inversion Width, and Soil Inversion Percentage. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that tillage depth and load weight significantly influenced the fuel requirement. The highest average fuel requirement was obtained at a tillage depth of 15 cm, which was 6.32 ml/track, while the lowest average was at a tillage depth of 10 cm, which was 4.55 ml/track. The highest average fuel requirement for the load weight was 5.99 ml/track, and the lowest average was 5.05 ml/track.
