PENGARUH KECEPATAN PUTARAN PISAU DAN KADAR AIR TERHADAP UJI KINERJA MESIN PERAJANG KERIPIK SINGKONG
The chopper machine of cassava chips was a tool that was used to simplify for slicing process to become cassava chips of good quality. Many factors affected the cassava chopper machine, one of which was the rotation speed of the blade used. This research aimed to determine the effect of the blade rotation and water content on the performance of the chip chopper machine. This research was carried out from March until May 2022. The experimental method used in the research was a Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (Factorial RBD) method with two research factors; namely the water content of the material (A) and the blade rotation speed (B) with three treatment levels were A1 (70%), A2 (65%), A3 (60%), dan B1 (600 rpm ±20), B2 (700 rpm ±20), B3 (800 rpm ±20), and each treatment combination was repeated 3 times. The parameters of this research were the capacity of tool works, efficiency of chopping, and uniformity of chopping. The result of this research indicated the highest practical capacity value of the machine that was found in the combination of A2B3 treatment with a water content of 65% and a blade rotation speed of 800 rpm for producing 71.65 kg/hour. The most efficient treatment for chopping was A2B1, a treatment combination of the water content was 65% and a rotation speed of 600 rpm was 96.87%. The average percentage of treatment combinations uniformity of chopped resulted in the most widely was A3B1 with 60% water contents, and 600 rpm of the blade rotation speed was 40.74%.
