PENGARUH VERMIKOMPOS DAN DOLOMIT TERHADAP AL-DD DAN PH TANAH SERTA PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN SORGUM (SORGHUM BICOLOR (L.) MOENCH) PADA TANAH PASANG SURUT
Tidal swamp land is land that has an important role in supporting the improvement of national food security and the development of agricultural systems and businesses. The expected benefit of conducting this research is that it can provide information regarding the effect of vermicompost and dolomite treatment on Al-dd and soil pH as well as the growth of sorghum plants on tidal soils. The research was carried out at the Soil Department Greenhouse, Faculty of Agriculture, from April 2021 to completion. Soil analysis was carried out at the Laboratory of Conservation Physics and Soil Fertility Chemistry, Soil Science Study Program, Department of Soil, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The method used in this study was a Completely Randomized Factorial Design (RALF) method with the following 2 factors: The first factor was Vermicompost Fertilizer which consisted of 4 levels: 1.) V0 : 0 tons ha-1, 2.) V1 : 2 .5 ton ha-1 or equivalent to 6.25 g pot-1, 3.) V2 : 5 ton ha-1 or equivalent to 12.5 g pot-1, 4.) V3 : 7.5 ton ha-1 or equivalent to 18.75 g pot-1. The second factor is Dolomitic Limestone with 2 levels, namely: 1.) K1 : 0 ton ha-1 (control) and 2.) K2 : Dosage equivalent to 1 x Al-dd = ton ha-1 or equivalent to 1.01 g pot-1. Application to the soil is 2 weeks before planting. Each treatment combination will be replicated three times, thereby obtaining 24 research experimental units. The results of this study stated that the application of vermicompost and dolomite lime had a significant effect on soil Al-dd with the interaction between vermicompost and dolomitic lime, which decreased Al-dd content from the initial soil analysis of 1.31 cmol per kg to 0.92 cmol per kg in the V0K2 treatment, it significantly affected the pH of H2O with the highest pH value obtained in the V3K2 treatment, which was 4.37, classified as an acidic pH criterion. Application of vermicompost and dolomite lime had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, panicle weight, fresh and dry weight of sorghum plants.
