ANALISIS KINERJA SIMPANG JL. AKBP CEK AGUS - JL. MP MANGKUNEGARA DAN SIMPANG JL. AKBP CEK AGUS - JL. TAMAN KENTEN KOTA PALEMBANG
In order to increase the capacity of the road, the proper traffic rules should be applied on the existence of the intersection where two or more roads meet. At Jalan AKBP Cek Agus Palembang, there are adjacent signalized intersection and unsignalized intersection named Simpang Patal which is located on Jl. AKBP Cek Agus - Jl. MP Mangkunagara and Simpang Taman Kenten located on Jl. AKBP Cek Agus - Jl. Taman Kenten. The problems that occur are delay and queue of vehicles were experienced due to the vehicles often stop at every intersection for red light signal at Simpang Patal and traffic conflicts at Simpang Taman Kenten. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the two intersections on the existing condition and determine the best altemative solution scenarios for the two intersection in order to improve the performance of intersections optimally and reduce the problem of queues and delays. Intersection performance analysis of existing conditions and altemative Solutions were calculated using the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual 1997 and microsimulation Vissim 8.00 program where the parameters are compared in the selection of the best alternatif solution are long queues and delays on average. Based on results of analysis and modeling, it is obtained that the best solution in order to optimize the performance of the two intersections are to expand Simpang Taman Kenten geometric and signal coordination between the two intersections.
