Disasters can provide threats and disturbances in social life and can cause material losses. A hazard is something that has the potential to cause injury to humans, cause disease cause harm to humans. The Taman Firdaus Reservoir Area is a plantation area as well as a reservoir belonging to Sriwijaya University. Within this region, there are still many dangers that can threaten visitors. In the face of existing dangers, it is necessary to be prepared in dealing with emergencies. The existence of preparedness in the Firdaus Taman Firdaus Pond Area, Sriwijaya University, can be the key to safety in facing the existing danger threats. The research design is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The total informants consisted of 8 informants. Emergency response preparedness planning for disaster threats in the Taman Firdaus Reservoir area of Sriwijaya University refers to Law No. 4 of 2007. Permen PU No.20 of 200, Regulation of the Minister of Tourism No. 4 of 2021, Head of BNPB Regulation No. 4 of 2008, BNPB Regulation No. 4 of 2022. This study concludes that the Taman Firdaus reservoir area still does not have adequate preparedness planning. Seeing these conditions, the Firdaus Gardens reservoir area should make a preparedness plan in dealing with emergencies.
