Post-coal mining land reclamation is a natural resource mining activity that can change the shape of critical land so that it can function optimally both as an element of production, a medium for regulating water management and as an element of environmental protection. So that the main impact of mining is the compacting of soil is a change in the state where there is a depreciation of soil volume or a weight gain in a unit of certain volume and a process of air production from soil pores so that there is a reduction in air volume and water volume due to mechanical activities. The rate of infiltration in most soils with high density can make plants unable to grow either because the limited penetration of roots into the soil to get water and nutrients causes infiltration rates such as rainfall and irrigation to be difficult to penetrate the soil surface. The study aims to analyze the effect of compacting soil on reclamation land after coal mine at PT. Bukit Asam, Tbk IUP Banko Barat. Density level analysis using sandcone and Proctor testing tools in the laboratory and infiltration rate measurements conducted using the Double Ring Infiltrometer and data processed using the Horton method, compacting test results obtained average value on reclamation land age 1 year 92.61%, age 3 year 88.31%, age 5 year 84.46% with average rate of infiltration rate on land 1 year 2.06 cm h-1, 3 years cm h-1 and 5 years of 3.00 cm h-1, then conducted statistical test of T-Test at all three ages of reclamation land aimed to find out the comparison of the difference between soil compaction bettors to infiltration rate. Parameters that affect the density to infiltration rate in postmine reclamation were analyzed using kuadratic regression test at 5% with the results of research suggesting that in parameters bulk density increase the weight of the soil content will be directly proportional to the increase in soil density, the relationship of porosity and density shows an inverse-compared relationship which means a decrease in the value of porosity causes increased density value of soil, the effect of soil content value on soil compaction by 19.82% while the remaining 80.18% is affected by other supporting factors.
