ANALISIS PERILAKU IBU DALAM PEMBERIAN MAKAN KEPADA ANAK STUNTING USIA 6-36 BULAN DI DESA TANJUNG AGUNG KECAMATAN INDRALAYA KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR
Stunted is a condition of failure to thrive in children under five due to chronic malnutrition and recurrent infections, especially during the first 1,000 days of life (HPK). This study aims to analyze the behavior of mothers in feeding stunted children aged 6-36 months in Tanjung Agung Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive research design, with data collection methods using interviews, observation, and documentation. The selection of informants was carried out using a purposive sampling technique involving 17 informants. The results of this study related to breastfeeding, not all informants gave colostrum and exclusive breastfeeding to children, as well as weaning that was not age appropriate. Giving MP-ASI is not by the recommendations of midwives and MCH books. The informants already know about stunted, but do not understand the impact of stunted, the term colostrum is still rarely heard but has a negative stigma by some informants, namely spoiled and dirty milk, informants' understanding regarding exclusive breastfeeding and complementary breastfeeding is still lacking. The informant's attitude related to stunted in children is to deny it because the child is not stunted but the child's small body posture is due to heredity. Almost all informants routinely attend intergrated health service post every month. The sources of water used by the informants were dug wells and drilled wells, river water, and the latrines used by the informants were squat latrines, and not all informants had sewerage. The most family support received by informants was in the form of financial support from husbands. There is still a growing myth in the informant's family regarding the taboo for breastfeeding mothers to eat spicy food and nuts. Researchers hope that there will be a follow-up program from related agencies in stunting prevention, puskesmas can cooperate with KUA to carry out stunting education and prevention efforts for prospective brides and appeal to the community to avoid early marriage, and activities can be carried out at KUA and given a certificate as one of the file requirements for marriage.
